The Magic of Snow
It’s snowing here today where I am, and as I sit and write this post, I am so grateful to work from home. But more than that, seeing the soft fluffy white stuff, always puts a smile on my face. I love snow!
Snow has always been particularly magical to me. Perhaps it’s because, growing up in the tropics, the cold and snow was something only ever described in stories.
But in the brief moments when I casually browse on to news sites, it’s always filled with treacherous stories of how horrible and terrible snow is. I know a great many number of people too, seem to adamantly dislike the challenges and difficulties it brings.
‘Can’t get to work!’
‘Kids are home from school, because schools are shut’
Still, both the scientist and the philosopher in me, marvels at the optimal conditions everything has to be at, for snow to form. There is actually only a small window of perfect conditions, humidity, temperature and pressure that brings about snow.
I like to think that, the same occurs in all the moments in our life. If we delve a little deeper, we soon come to realise that although it may not seem like it, all of our lives actually has to be ‘just right’ to take us on our journey.
Look at the wonder around and enjoy the magic of every day.
Take care and be happy.
